Students from each department will work closely with the project leaders, Darcey Engen, Chair and Associate Professor of Theater at Augsburg College and Luverne Seifert, Head of BA Theater Performance at the University of Minnesota, to create an innovative, site specific, outdoor production at the University of Minnesota Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota. This adaptation of Ibsen's classic is an exploration of this epic Norwegian play and how it reflects culture, history and mythology.

All Augsburg students are welcome to audition! As many as 20 rolls will be cast, including actors, musicians, singers and composers.

Auditions will be held in the Ailene Cole Green Room, located in Foss Center, on:
Tuesday, January 21 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and
Wednesday, January 22 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
There will be no callbacks.

Please prepare a single, one minute monologue. It can be anything--contemporary, classic, poetic, realistic, comedic, serious, etc. It can even be a poem. It is preferable that it be memorized.

Rehearsals begin February 10 and go through April 9; performance dates are April 10-13.

Further information, as well as audition sign-up sheets are posted on the Tjornhom-Nelson Theater door in the Atrium of the Foss Center. If you have any questions about the production, auditions, or need assistance, please contact Darcey Engen, X1549.

Keeping Track of Auggies

A-Club Sponsors Room in CSBR

When A-Club President Bruce Nelson '71 asked his executive committee about contributing $25,000 to name a faculty room in the Center for Science, Business, and Religion (CSBR), their unanimous response was a slam dunk: "Let's do it."

To Nelson, the reasons for investing in the Augsburg campaign for the new Center seem obvious. First, showing support is the right thing to do. Second, it is a public statement of belief that Augsburg is on the right path. Finally, it is a chance to participate in what all agree are exciting times, when myriad people are motivated to join hands and hearts in pursuit of a common goal.
