New Ticketing System Tutorial-August 1

Student Financial Services has implemented a new ticketing system to be used when departments would like to bill a student's account. The directions are listed below, but we will be offering an in-person tutorial on Wednesday, August 1, in Lindell 202. If you are unable to attend the tutorial but still have questions, contact your Admin LFC or Cory Snyder.

Instructions:

To use our new ticketing system, visit http://go.augsburg.edu/sfsrequest. Please bookmark this link for future reference. Click "Submit a Ticket" and then the department "Student Financial Services." After hitting "Next," fill in your general information, click "Yes" to the question "Request to charge student accounts?" and click the template link web.augsburg.edu/enroll/Student_Account_Request_to_Bill.xls

On the Excel document, enter as much information as you are able to. Student names and ID numbers are required. If you need help determining what account numbers to place on the Excel spreadsheet, let me know and I will work with Administrative Accounting to provide them to you.

Once your spreadsheet is finalized, you will want to 'Save As' a copy to your hard drive. You will then be able to upload the file at the bottom of the ticket.

By using this method, you will be able to track the progress of your request and receive an email notification when it has been finalized. Any charges submitted after a term's drop/add period has passed may not be billed until the next term's billing cycle begins.

Fresh Tomatoes at the Farmers Market Today 11-1 pm

I have been told that today is the day that we'll have tomatoes at the farmers market. The recent rain may have delayed it until next week, but either way, we're now approaching the peak of growing season. Come out from 11-1 pm for a good selection, tomatoes or not, and get something to snack on for lunch. If you're able to make it, the Brian Coyle farmers market is 2-5 pm, where this week we welcome Jamie Lee and family back for a few more vegetable options (she's unable to make it to Augsburg in the morning).

If you'd like to receive regular messages about the market, including seasonal recipes and other information, sign up here: http://listserv.augsburg.edu/sympa/subscribe/westbankfarmersmarket-list

Keeping Track of Auggies

The Minnesota Fringe Festival is Coming

Your favorite copy queen, Vicki Joan Keck, is performing in the MN fringe theater festival again this year. The show I am in, Hans, The Obscure!, has been picked as a "keeper" by Graydon Royce of the Star Tribune. The Minnesota Fringe Festival is the largest of it's kind in the nation, with 165 shows to choose from and 14 venues, many within walking distance of Augsburg. I hope you can take some time to see a show or three!

Hilariously dark, action packed mayhem from start to finish, "Hans The Obscure!" is a romp you won't soon forget! This show features 3 little known tales from the mind of Hans Christian Andersen. Best known as a writer of children's stories, Andersen shows his "other side" here with "Clod Hans" "It Is Perfectly True" and "Little Claus, Big Claus", wild tales for the young at heart but not for the VERY young.

Featuring puppets, "naked" hens and a dead grandma or two, Hans The Obscure! dares to explore the almost insane dark soul that was Denmark's favorite son and beloved storyteller. You'll laugh! You'll gasp! You'll run for cover as the town bully is tricked into pleading to be tied in a sack and thrown into a river. Greed, Pride, and murderous envy are all part of the fun of "Hans The Obscure!" ! Suitable for ages 10 and up

At at the Brave New Workshop Student Union 2605 Hennepin Ave. S, Mpls MN
5:30 pm on Fri 8/3, Sat 8/4 & Mon 8/6; 7 pm Fri 8/10; 4 pm Sat 8/11
