Lower Level of Library Closing June 13

I am writing on behalf of Jane Ann Nelson. Beginning June 13, 2011 the lower level of Lindell Library will be closed. If you need an item from any of the lower level collections please ask library staff to retrieve the item for you. We will be happy to retrieve the item for you. This closure is expected to be for the next several months in preparation for the significant changes to the library collections and spaces.

Come out and support the work of the Augsburg Associates. They will be facilitating a sale on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11. Furniture, china, glass, kitchen, linens, costume jewelry. Many records, sheet music. Toys, games, dolls. Full garage.

International Music Medicine Symposium

IX. INTERNATIONAL MUSIC MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM
Augsburg College, June 8-12
The International Society for Music in Medicine will meet at Augsburg College June 8-12. Speakers and participants are from 7 different countries and the U.S. Sessions and workshops include uses os music in pain management, chronic illness, mental illness, palliative care, brain injury, neuroendocrinology, anxiety, and research methodology.

The following are highlights of this event:

Wednesday, June 8 6:15 pm Sateren Auditorium, Music Hall
Musical Welcome, Sarah Dill
Ruth Johnson, MD, consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and assistant professor of medicine at Mayo Medical School, Augsburg College Board of Regents. Welcome Address and Keynote, followed by a reception and Indigenous Drumming Experience.
Free and Open to the Public
