Teaching and Learning

Lindell Library Open Until 1:00 a.m.

For late-night finals studying, Lindell Library will be open later:
Monday-Friday, April 26-29: 1 am
Saturday, April 30: 10:00 pm
Sunday-Wednesday, May 1-4: 1 am

Come do some intense research, paper writing, and studying. We'll expect you!

Hours are always available from the "Hours" link on the Lindell Library web site: www.augsburg.edu/library

Library resources are also available 24/7 from that web site.

Dining Services

Midnight breakfast will be served on Monday May 2nd from 10-11:30. You must have your student ID to enter.

The soup of the day is Vegetable Black Bean.

Nabo:
Seasonal Feature is the Grilled Vegetable and Hummus Wrap.

A-Club:
The special for lunch is the Strawberry Chicken Salad.

Summer Camp Counselor Recognition

Will you be working as a counselor or in some other leadership role at a camp this summer? Campus Ministry wants to be in touch with you!

Only 3 Yoga Sessions Left

This is a reminder that we have just three free yoga sessions left for the year including today from noon - 1 pm in the Wrestling Room in Kennedy Center. All interested students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

Please wear comfortable clothing and feel free to bring your own yoga mat. The remaining yoga classes will be Thursday 4/28 and next Tuesday 5/3.

May Cap and Gowns, Please Pick up at the Bookstore

If you are graduating in May - you may stop by the bookstore to purchase your cap and gown! If you did not order - just come in asap to get your size. June graduates - your gowns will be ready in mid-May. Congratulations!

Learn More about Be The Match

Want to learn more about the Be the Match Bone marrow Donor registry and meet a young girl and her family needing a transplant? Come to community time today and hear Imani's story and Kristine Reed's story about the importance of becoming a member of the bone marrow donor registry.

Be The Match will be on campus on Friday 4/29 from 10 - 2 in Christensen Center registering new donors. For more information about the process and/or the organization, please check out www.bethematchfoundation.org/goto/Imani

Earn $5 Fast in the Psychology Lab

Please help us finish two psychology experiments this week. Come to Anderson 26 between 12:15 - 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday or Friday. Participation payment is $5 per study; each study takes about 15-20 minutes. Restricted to persons who have not already participated in the "crime study" (#10)or "jury decision-making" (#11)studies that have been running this year.

Telephone System Maintenance on April 27 (6:00 PM)

Maintenance on the campus telephone system will occur at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27. During the maintenance period, you will not be able to receive or place any telephone calls. We expect total downtime to be approximately 5-15 minutes.

Please note that the time has been changed to 6:00 PM.

Project: Think About It is a collaborative art piece facilitated by the Augsburg Art Club. The Augsburg Community was invited to write down their thoughts and reflections about four topics. Community Time Today

Take a breather! Enjoy refreshments, news and conversation with colleagues in the East Commons today, 3:45-4:30.

Kristine Reed, representative from Be The Match, a national bone marrow donor registry, and 14-year-old Imani and her parents will talk about the importance and great need for bone marrow donors in the registry from diverse backgrounds and how Augsburg with its rich diversity of students can help save lives like Imani's.

We will hear from campus groups engaged with public achievement. People from the Enrollment Center, Special Education Department, and Pan African Center will share their stories about how they are experiencing Public Achievement and its impact on them and their departments.

We'll honor the four faculty recipients of the Distinguished Teaching and Learning Awards and the six recipients of Outstanding Staff Awards.

We hope you can attend!
