Lindell Library Open Until 1 a.m.
For late-night finals studying, Lindell Library will be open until 1 a.m. now through Wednesday, April 29. We'll see you in the library!
Hours are always available from the Hours link on the Lindell Library web site: www.augsburg.edu/library
Library resources are also available 24/7 from that web site.
Teaching and Learning
Faculty Scholarship Display
The Center for Teaching and Learning will have a faculty scholarship display at the Faculty Recognition Luncheon this Thursday. The purpose of this display is to highlight the work of Augsburg faculty in their field.
If you have an item to display such as published paper, book, playbill, or other work, please drop it off to the CTL desk in the Library or the Dean's office by 1:30, Wednesday, April 29. If you have any questions, email Antonio Spargo at spargo@augsburg.edu.
Writing Lab Hours
The Augsburg College Writing Lab will close for the spring semester after the Wednesday, April 29, evening shift (6:30 - 9 p.m.). The Lab will open for graduate, WEC, and summer course support on Tuesday, May 5. Hours from May 5 through the end of SS II, August 7, are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 4-6 p.m.
Conquer the GMAT
Are you thinking of applying for an MBA program? Do you need to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT)? The Augsburg MBA Program is sponsoring an on-campus GMAT preparation course: "Conquer the GMAT!" The cost is only $300 (the most affordable in the Twin Cities) and includes test prep materials. The preparation includes one writing, two verbal, and two quantitative sessions.

Summer and Graduation Hours at the Bookstore
On May 2nd the bookstore will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Summer hours begin May 4. We will be open from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. WEC College weekends we will be open Friday 10 a.m. -6 p.m. Saturday 9:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. All other weekends we will be closed.
Paid Positions for Summer Science/Math Programs
Augsburg will host four exciting programs with Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools during the month of July. Twelve (12) summer positions are available for undergraduates, especially in education, science, math, music and computer science. These program positions are to mentor 4th-8th grade girls/boys in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Public Schools at programs on the Augsburg campus. Undergraduate Mentors are responsible for cooperating with teachers, High School Mentors and teams of girls and boys from the sponsoring schools on a number of fun, hands on science, engineering, math and team sports programs. These summer sessions takes place June 30, July 1 (Training) July 6 July 23 or July 6 - 30 8:30-4:00 or 9:15-4:45 (1/2 hour working lunch). Augsburg Mentors are paid an hourly wage of $13.00/hour. If you would like your May 15 paycheck mailed to your home, please submit a self-addressed, stamped envelop to Human Resources along with your timesheet by May 5.
Also, please remember postage rates will rise before May 15. Correct postage for your paycheck will be $0.44. Human Resources will not be able to mail your paycheck without correct postage.
