The Girls in Engineering, Mathematics and Science (GEMS) and the Gise In Science and Engineering (GISE) will be employing 10-12 undergraduates (female and male focusing in education, math, science, engineering or related fields) students starting mid June through mid August. This 16 hour a week (GEMS: Tuesday/Thursday; GISE: Monday/ Wednesday) mentoring posting gives Augsburg undergraduates valuable experience working with middle school girls and boys in academically enriched projects (robotics, building the surface of the Moon, the chemistry of cosmetics, etc.) Augsburg students must be eligible for work-study; $12.50-13.00/hour. Interested students should contact Jeanine Gregoire at gregoire@augsburg.edu. Deadline for application is May 5.

Just a last minute reminder before you leave for Summer Break. Since your last day for the semester is May 3, 2007 and some of you might be going home for the summer, here is what you need to do to get your pay check if you cant pick it up at the Enrollment Center. You need to submit a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Human Resources Department for your May paycheck, and we will mail out your check. If you work hours in May, youll also need a self-addressed stamped envelope for June.
