Subject: Dont know what to wear Friday? How about red? Message: Heart disease is the #1 killer of women over the age of 25. Friday is National Wear Red Day to help raise women's awareness of cardiovascular disease. Please stop by the Physician Assistant Program table in Christensen Center from 11 a.m. to noon to get a free blood pressure check, pick up a red treat and get information on how to improve the heart health of women who are important to you. You can tell us how many people you have spotted wearing red. Subject: Lilly Lunch with Mary Kingsley (Valentine's Day) Message:
There are some things you might not know about Mary Kingsley! 1) She invented a motorcycle. 2) She was suspected of being a member of Opus Dei. 3) She helped make Augsburg College what it is today.
Subject: "Half Empty" an art exhibition at the UW-Lacrosse Message: I'm writing to let you know that I have an opening of an exhibition at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse this Friday, Feb. 2. if anyone would like to go Ii promise to not disappoint you (promises, promises...). The opening is at 5 p.m. and a lecture by yours truly to follow at 6 p.m. It takes 3 hrs. one way to get there. There is a cabin for all to sleep over and the view of the river valley when you wake up will blow you away (sleeping bag required, if you don't have one borrow one or i have a couple of extras...)... Also, if you need a ride please let me know asap as we are arranging the caravan. I hope you have time to get there on your own if you cannot make it at this time. I 've been doing research on the theoretical "GOD GENE", the VMAT2 gene that "supposedly" predisposes individuals to be more inclined towards spirituality. So if you can, come and have fun and meet new augsburgians and lacrossians who might be so inclined... Subject:

It's the time of year for Herberger's Community Day Sale. The Augsburg Cheer Team is selling Community Day coupon booklets for a fundraiser. It's the same great deal this season: for each $5 donation you make to our cheer team, you will receive a $10 off coupon and eight 20% off coupons. It's going to be a big sale; there is even a bonus buy of $30 off entire stock of men's and women's Clarks shoes for that day. In addition, these coupons can be used at any Herbergers, Bergners, Boston Store, Carson Prairie Scott, Elder-Beerman, and Yonkers stores. Community Day is on Saturday, March 3rd, and we will be selling them from now until that day. Please let me know how many you or any of your family members or friends would like. Then, we can arrange when I can stop by to give you your coupons and pick up your donation. Thanks for your continuous support for our team!
