Weekend College Chapel Message: We invite you to Weekend College Chapel in Hoversten Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 13, 7:30 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. The guest is Thelma Buckner and some members of her family. Thelma: gospel singer, inspirational writer, emergency shelter director, founder of the Piece by Piece Program, makes quilts for all of the St. Paul police cars. People look to Thelma as a community leader and community granny. Thelma also preaches at the Gospel Temple on Sundays. The family has been part of the rich gospel community: Sounds of Blackness, Minneapolis Gospel Sounds, and Minneapolis Gospel Twins. Come and be inspired. Subject:
Volunteer with the Campus Kitchen Message:
Give back to Augsburg and give back to the community. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to homeless individuals, youth, and elderly in our community. Connect with the neighborhood and with Augsburg by helping out with the Campus Kitchen over break.
