Message: Members of the Augsburg community interested in a little educational sightseeing this month are invited to a number of class visits to sites of interest around the Twin Cities with the Environmental and River Politics class. The first is a bike tour of the Midtown Greenway led by Tim Springer, the Director of the Midtown Greenway Coalition, that will include stops at the new Eco-yard demonstration project, the Sears Building (aka Midtown Exchange), and "Vera's Garden." We will leave from campus on bikes at 6 p.m. on Tues., June 6, returning by 9. Future outings include a walking tour of the Mississippi River Gorge, a visit to a "zero-emission" educational building, and a rowing trip on the river (future notices will provide details for these outings). Contact Joe Underhill-Cady if you're interested in joining in on any of these or want more information. |

Susan (Susie) Molder passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Susie was the wife of August Molder, best known on this campus for the stained-glass window in the small chapel in Christensen Center. Susie and August were immigrants from Estonia. Susie worked as an interpreter and foreign correspondent for General Mills. August was "artist-in-residence" and taught at Augsburg College in the 1960's, 70's, and 80's.

Seeking "West Wing" final episode tape
Message: Do you have a copy of the final episode of "West Wing" (from May 14) which you'd be willing to lend to a desperate librarian who missed seeing it and who would treat your tape/DVD very carefully? If so, please e-mail nelsonj1@augsburg.edu or call ext. 1603. |
