Message: Are you wondering if you are called to the ministry? Have you been considering seminary? Students with a potential interest in attending seminary or pursuing graduate study in the sacred arts or theology are invited to apply for the 2006-2007 Lilly Scholar program - an academic seminar that carries a $2,000 scholarship. For information and applications, please visit the Lilly Resource Center (Room 231 Memorial Hall) or contact Diane Glorvigen at 612-330-1334 or <glorvige@augsburg.edu>.
Message: On Tuesday, March 7th, 3:30-5 p.m. in East Commons, a "Critical Conversation on Vocation" will take place to follow-up the Batalden Seminar on "Economic Globalization: Who Wins and Who Loses?" Following opening comments by faculty and students, participants will use the World Cafe conversation model to respond, react, and engage the topic and each other. All are welcome; please encourage students to attend for an opportunity for interdisciplinary discussion with other students and faculty.

Considering the pre-engineering program at Augsburg College?
Message: We have enough people interested in starting a group on campus so I have contacted Weight Watchers. They are looking for a leader for our site. Once a leader is identified, I will schedule an Informational Meeting. Anyone interested can attend the meeting to learn more about the program (including the costs) and will then have the option to sign up. I am hoping to hear back soon so we can get started!

Roth IRA's! I repeat, Roth IRA's! A Roth IRA is an Individualized Retirement Account. You may be hesitant to start saving money for retirement now, but compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. Roth IRA's don't give you a tax break when you invest, but when you withdraw the money it will be not be taxed. And, aren't you in the lowest tax bracket you ever will be? You had better hope so!
